Dylan has worked in new play development with companies including Center Theatre Group, The Geffen Playhouse, Centerstage Baltimore, Skylight Theatre, Rogue Artists, Casa 101, and the Autry Museum. Dylan is also the former co-artistic director of Needtheater, serves as resident dramaturg for the Robey Theatre Company, and is the founding creative director for the virtual reality production company, VR Playhouse.
