Michael Skloff

Michael Skloff

Michael Skloff is best known as a TV & Film composer. Most notably he wrote the theme song “I’ll Be There For You” for the hit NBC comedy series Friends, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. He was also nominated for an Emmy for the main title theme to HBO’s comedy series Dream On. He has received numerous ASCAP Film/TV awards for work on various TV series. He is also known for his compositions for film, theatre (including for theatre dybbuk), and Jewish worship services. His musical setting of the K’dusha prayer is sung widely across congregations in North America. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, he received his BFA in Music Composition from Carnegie Mellon University and his MFA from California Institute of the Arts.  Michael and his family reside in Los Angeles, CA.
